Demand is hotting up for tickets to Under the Stars: Live at the Docks, as the free festival returns to Silverworks Island on 4 July, with Tinchy Stryder topping the bill.

The event will bring together thousands of music fans for a one-night celebration of live music, community and East London culture, with only a limited number of tickets remaining.

This year’s headline performance features Tinchy Stryder, one of the UK’s most influential grime artists, who grew up in Newham and attended St Bonaventure’s School and later University of East London.

He first rose to prominence as part of pioneering grime collective Roll Deep before forging a hugely successful solo career, with his breakthrough album Star in the Hood followed by Catch 22, which reached number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and earned BPI Gold certification. Known for chart-topping tracks including Number 1 and Never Leave You, he will headline this year’s event. He will be joined by a line-up of UK talent spanning grime, R&B and Afrobeats.

Newham-born Ashley J will host the evening, bringing charisma and stage presence. The line-up includes:

  • DJ Huggie T – delivering high-energy global DJ sets built for the dancefloor
  • Ola Zainab – Newham-based singer-songwriter with soulful, genre-blending vocals
  • Grace Savage – 4x UK Beatbox Champion redefining vocal performance
  • STXRM Collective – a bold London R&B collective known for style-led, high-impact shows
  • Mumzy – Newham-raised British Bangladeshi artist known for fusing South Asian influences with R&B, reggae and dancehall

Under the Stars: Live at the Docks celebrates Newham’s creativity against the backdrop of the Royal Docks, with music, culture and community at its heart. The event is free to attend with a valid ticket.

Organised with support from Broadwick Live, 9 Point 8, Silvertown and the Royal Docks Team, the event continues to showcase east London’s live music and creative culture.

Mayor of Newham Forhad Hussain said: “Since we announced the return of Under the Stars less than two weeks ago, the response from people in Newham has been phenomenal.

“I am delighted that Tinchy Stryder is our headliner because he grew up in this borough and has achieved so much in his career. People are excited to see him coming home and also checking out the other artists who are due to play.

“The demand has been so high there are now only a few hundred tickets left, so I urge everyone to secure theirs before it is too late.

Tickets are available now — but are expected to go fast
