Newham appoints Corporate Director of Resources

Conrad Hall has been appointed as the Council’s new Corporate Director of Resources.

Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz is pleased to announce the appointment of Conrad Hall as the Council’s new Corporate Director of Resources.

Members of the Chief Officer Appointments Sub-Committee met this week to undertake a final interview as part of a rigorous selection process. Members of Newham Council’s Cabinet were consulted on the appointment before it was approved.

As Corporate Director of Resources, Conrad will have oversight over a portfolio of services including finance, human resources, information and communications technology, asset management and facilities services. He will also undertake the statutory role of Section 151 officer.

Conrad is currently at Brent Council where he has been Chief Finance Officer since 2013. He has previously held senior posts at Lambeth Council and Lewisham Council. He has considerable experience of council budgets and advising elected members on financial strategy. He is a qualified Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) accountant.
