As Ramadan comes to an end, myself and Newham’s councillors, as well as everyone at Newham Council, would like to wish peace and happiness to everyone marking Eid ul-Fitr.
I hope that you all enjoy the time spent with your families and friends, the opportunity to reflect on the values that are close to your hearts, and – of course – the chance to indulge yourself after the long month of fasting turns to a festival of feasting!
I know that across the borough all our residents will enjoy seeing the spectacle and the sparkle of our families’ and neighbours’ celebrations and wish them well.
