Priority Places are one of the ways in which the Arts Council is committed to strengthening cultural and creativity opportunities in a targeted way. They have identified 54 places across England in which engagement and our investment is too low, and opportunity for development is high, and so are prioritising working with them from 2021 to 2024. In each of their 54 priority places, ACE will collaborate  with key stakeholders like local authorities, the cultural sector and organisations representing community interests to identify the change they would like to see through culture.

Arts Council England will enter into conversations with a range of people and organisations with a view to identifying impacts that speak to the particular needs and aspirations of communities, the cultural sector and key stakeholders as well as the Delivery Plan. They will then increase staff resource in priority places in order to facilitate increased investment through existing funding programmes. ACE will work with priority places to measure impact.
