After 21 days
If after 21 days you have not removed the rubbish, you will be served with a £100 fixed penalty notice and further notices until the rubbish is cleared.
If you do not pay the fixed penalty notices you could be prosecuted and fined up to £2,500.
Why rubbish in front gardens is a problem
Clean streets and tidy front gardens make our borough better. Our staff work hard to keep our roads and pavements free of litter, but no matter how clean our streets are, rubbish in front gardens ruins our local areas.
As well as looking ugly, gardens full of rubbish or unwanted items can attract rats, insects and other pests, and be a fire or health hazard.
