Apply for up to £15,000 to create a community lending library in Newham
Newham Council and East London Waste Authority are inviting voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFS) organisations to apply for funding to launch a new community-led Lending Library in the borough.
A Lending Library is a shared service where residents can borrow useful household items, tools, and equipment instead of buying them. This helps residents save money, reduce waste, and access items they may only need occasionally.
This fund will support a local organisation to set up and deliver a sustainable, community-run Lending Library that benefits residents and the environment.
Funding available
Grants of up to £15,000 open to organisations based in or serving Newham. Applications from current partners are welcome.
Funding is intended to support the start-up and initial delivery of a new Lending Library.
