What happens if you don’t pay?
If you don’t pay on time, we will send you a reminder and then a final notice.
If you still don’t pay, or we do not hear from you, you will lose your right to pay by instalments and we will send you a court summons.
If you receive a summons for your business rates – and you agree that the amount is correct and you are responsible for paying it – you can pay it before the court date and the action will stop.
If you disagree with the amount due, or you cannot pay in full then contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to help.
