Proxy and postal proxy vote
Amendments or cancellations of current proxy and postal proxy vote arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU at postal.vote@newham.gov.uk by 5.00pm, 11 working days before poll.
New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU or at proxy.vote@newham.gov.uk by 5.00pm, 6 working days before poll.

Emergency proxy vote
Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of late illness or incapacity resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, other physical incapacity or for work or service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU by 5.00pm on the day of poll The late illness, incapacity or grounds of work or service must have occurred after 5.00pm on 6 working days before poll.
Voter Authority Certificate
You need to show photo ID when voting in person in some elections. Check which types of photo ID you can use.
If you do not have a photo ID that allows you to vote, you can apply for a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’ for free. This is a paper document with your photo on it that you can use to prove your identity when voting.
Application for a Voter Authority Certificate must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5.00pm, 6 working days before poll.
