Requesting telecare / assistive technology equipment
Telecare basic personal alarms are arranged and provided by Newham Network Telecare Service.
If there is a need for different types of additional sensors or equipment that comes under assistive technology, these will be provided by the Adult Social Care Team, once you have been assessed.

How much does it cost?
There is a £1.75 weekly charge for the Telecare equipment to be monitored by friends/family. For the devices to be monitored externally by Newham Network Telecare Services, the cost is £4.67 per week, increasing to £6.52 per week for additional sensors.
