Equipment for daily living

Where can you get daily living equipment?

BSL Support

If you know what equipment you need, you can purchase the equipment yourself directly from retailers such as:

  • Pharmacists
  • Mobility shops
  • Tesco
  • Asda
  • Argos
  • Co-op
  • Boots
  • Halfords
  • B&Q and any others.

If you choose to purchase any equipment yourself, you will be responsible for the full costs of whatever you decide to buy.

Prices for equipment can be found on the websites of the retailers. We recommend that you try before you buy to ensure that you can use the equipment and that it's suitable and safe for your home environment.

Contact Adult Social care

You can contact the Access to Adult Social Care Team and we will carry out an assessment and discuss your difficulties and possible equipment solutions with you.

If following your assessment, we agree that you need equipment to make your day to day living easier, then we will fund the cost of the equipment that meets your need.
