Applications are open for the Lyle’s Local Fund 2026/27. Newham charities, schools, social enterprises and community groups can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to support local projects.
Tate & Lyle Sugars is delighted to announce that the Lyle’s Local Fund 2026 will be launched on 22nd September 2026. Running since 2017, the Fund has awarded over £300,000 to 117 projects that support safe, prosperous and healthy communities in Newham.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available and are expected to be paid before the end of 2026. Applications are open from 22nd September 2026. Organisations who wish to apply should visit the Grants section of the Newham Council website Lyle’s Local Fund 2026/27 – Funding for community projects and use the form available there.
Local social enterprises, schools, charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations are all expected to apply.

Tate & Lyle Sugars, which has been producing sugar and syrup in Newham for over 145 years, has a long history of supporting local people and organisations. The Lyle’s Local Fund complements the company’s existing community engagement programme of support for local charities, schools and other community organisations, volunteering and in-kind support.
