Adult and community education

English and maths

All our English and maths courses are free for everyone.

To enrol on a course we will assess you at one of our adult education centres. We will then be able to offer you a place on an appropriate course where the teacher will discuss and plan with you what skills you would like to work on.

All courses are part-time with a variety of lesson times available throughout the day. Courses are normally 12 weeks long unless stated otherwise.

English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)

We offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for all abilities; from complete beginners to confident speakers.

We also offer unit certificates for the Gateway Qualifications Entry Level Award and Level 1 Award in English for Reading, Speaking and Listening and Writing.

All our courses include English, maths and soft skills development. For complete beginners who want to learn how to read and write, we also run specialised courses.

For more information about our ESOL courses, call us on 020 3373 0755.
