Payments
Birth and death registration
You will have to create a MyNewham account at to be able to access the online appointment booking system.
Do not book an appointment to register a birth until you have received your child's discharge letter - without the discharge letter, the child cannot be registered by Newham's registration services.

Emergency burial service
This service is for the issue of emergency burial certificates only. The service is usually available:- 12 noon to 4pm on Saturday afternoons, and
- 9am to 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
You must then go to the East Ham Community Neighbourhood Centre, 1st Floor, to register the death during the following week.

Copy certificates
You can apply online for copies of official birth, marriage and death certificates and receive in the post or collect from the Newham Town Hall.
