Policies that define the way we provide support

Newham’s Adult Social Care Plan

Everyone in Newham deserves the opportunity to live a life that is healthy, independent, and fulfilling - regardless of age, background, or ability. Our Adult Social Care Plan sets out how we will work alongside residents, families, carers, and partners to make this a reality.

This Plan builds on the strong foundations we’ve laid in recent years, recognising both the incredible strengths in our communities and the challenges many people face. Informed by what residents have told us matters most to them, it reflects our collective ambition to improve wellbeing, promote independence, and provide the right support at the right time. Woven through all our work is the drive to achieve safety for our residents, quality of care and equality of opportunity to access support to live and age well.

The Plan focuses on ensuring that adult social care in Newham is inclusive, responsive, and sustainable. It is rooted in Co-Production and partnership, with a clear vision for a borough where everyone can thrive.
