Volunteering in Newham

I need Volunteer support

Our volunteers come from all backgrounds and offer a wide variety of skills to benefit and enhance your organisation or programmes. If managed well, they can help to increase your productivity and performance. Our volunteers have helped at various events and provided valuable support to help organisations meet their goals.

They have been library assistants, befrienders, members of youth offending teams and supported a vast number of high-profile sports events. Just tell us what you require, and we will find the right person for you.

To request volunteers, contact us on Volunteers@newham.gov.uk or call 0203 373 3216 and we will send you a request form. Once completed and returned, we will do our best to signpost some volunteers to your organisation and or project.

What organisations had to say:

All the volunteers were a pleasure to work with. Enthusiastic, good at listening, taking initiative, and working appropriately alongside Pākiki staff children and teachers. We enjoyed our engagement with them, and they all expressed a desire to volunteer with us again in the future which is fantastic. Thanks again for your support in helping us to engage these volunteers. I hope we will have the opportunity to work with you and Newham Volunteers again in the future. - Raewyn L, Pakiki Theatre

I want to thank Newhams Volunteers Team and their amazing gang of volunteers (many of whom volunteered at the Autism Strategy Launch) all of whom got stuck into their role and enjoyed themselves. They were amazing. - Linda W, Public Health team, Disability BBQ Event
