Home Improvement Grant
Welcome Newham are pleased to announce that we have launched an Home Improvement pilot scheme that is funded to support Ukrainians into private rented accommodation.
The Home Improvement Grant scheme provides grant funding to landlords of properties that need substantial repairs or improvements to make them fit for human habitation. This grant can be used to improve the Energy Efficiency of properties, to meet the current and upcoming Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards.
In return the property will be presented to the Council for first nomination rights for a minimum of 2 years to rent out at an affordable rent levels to the tenant.
The maximum grant available is £15,000 for a 4-bedroom house with a minimum of 3 years to rent out at an affordable rent levels to the tenant.
