In 2022 the Regulator of Social Housing created 22 special checks called Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) to help all housing landlords show how well they’re looking after their tenants.
To find out what tenants really think, a research company talked face-to-face with 1,051 Newham Council tenants between 20 January and 6 March 2025.
These results help the Council understand what’s working and what needs improving to make housing services better for everyone.

We’ve made significant improvements on previous years and the majority of results are above the average scores across London. We are pleased that the improvements in housing are resulting in more residents being satisfied with our services as a landlord, but we remain committed to doing better.
