Working at Newham Council

All successful applicants will be asked to complete an online medical questionnaire through our third-party occupational health provider. The questionnaire is to enable us to support you in your new role, and all responses will be confidential. You will be given the opportunity to notify us if you require any reasonable adjustments for your new role.

Newham employees have access to a number of wellbeing resources, managed by our dedicated Wellbeing Team, including the Thrive Mental Wellbeing app, our Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme provider, and free support groups and webinars.

Our employee-led colleague forums provide inclusive support networks across the council, encouraging a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workplace. Newham employees can join a number of colleague forums, including the Ability forum, Race Equality staff forum, LGBTQ+ forum, and many more.
