Home Improvement Grant
Welcome Newham are pleased to announce that we have launched an Home Improvement pilot scheme that is funded to support Ukrainians into private rented accommodation.
The Home Improvement Grant scheme provides grant funding to landlords of properties that need substantial repairs or improvements to make them fit for occupation. This grant can be used to improve the energy efficiency of properties, to meet the current and upcoming Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards.
In return, once the property is ready for occupation it will be presented to the Council to let at an affordable rent level, for a minimum of 2 years.
The maximum grant available is £15,000 for a 4-bedroom house presented to the Council for a minimum of 3 years at an affordable rent level.
