​Arts group for people living with the effects of stroke ​Every ​Monday, 1 - 3pm ​Arts group for people living with the effects of stoke​. Come along and speak to the volunteer group leader for more information on joining the group.
​Coffee morning ​Tuesday, 11.30am - 1pm ​​A chance to find out what is happening in your local area and meet Newham Council officers and local stakeholders.
​Do it online ​Friday, 2 - 3.30pm ​Free beginners class in becoming computer confident and  literate. Enquire at Beckton Globe.
​Dominos ​​Saturday, 2.30-7pm​ ​Love a great game of dominos? Come and learn or improve your playing for free with Beckton Community Dominos. Open for those from 12 to over 60’s.​
​English class: Life in the UK B1 and B2 ESOL classes ​Tuesday, 10am  - 12 midday ​​​English and citizenship classes for speakers of other languages aged 16 or over. You must complete an entry form before starting the course. Speak to library staff for more information.
​Forever young ​Wednesday, 11am - 1pm​ ​Social club for people over 50. Enjoy music, gentle exercises, get computer help and socialise over a cup of tea. Free.
​Knit and natter ​Monday, 11am - 12.30pm ​​​Craft group for men and women of all ages and abilities.
​​Inclusive yoga ​Thursday, 11am - 12.30pm ​Yoga in chairs or on floor mats to help your mental and physical wellbeing. Suitable and open to all including people with sensory or support needs. Mats and blocks provided, but wear comfortable stretchy clothing. Arrive early to discuss your needs with the tutor. Age from 16 – over 60’s
​Martial arts ​Thursday, 6 - 7pm ​​Martial arts for adults. Booking required, enquire in Beckton Globe. £3 per class.
​​New Men's Choir ​​Wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30pm ​​Come and improve your singing. Grime and jazz and many more styles taught. For young men aged 11 - 18 years old. Free. No booking required.
​Pilates ​​Tuesday, 6.30pm ​​Low impact gentle stretching, balance exercises and good for core strength. No booking required but advised to bring your own mat. Open to all adults, everyone welcome to come and try a session. Free and upstairs in Beckton Globe library.

These two sessions draw on the movements of traditional pilates exercises. Focusing on improving your posture through a range of mobility, stretches and strengthening exercises, we'll also look at breathing and relaxation techniques to help relax body and mind.

The seated class will be suitable for wheelchair users and those with limited movement, especially in the lower body and those with log term medical conditions such as MS, arthritis and diabetes, and those recovering from illness or operations.

The standing class is suitable for those with more mobility and ability to stand. Please ensure your doctor or medical professional has said you are safe to exercise.

Wear comfortable clothing and bare feet or flat shoes.

There will be time at the end of each session for a chat and a drink.
​Salsa exercise class ​Thursday, 6 - 7.30pm ​​Boost your energy levels and fitness with this fun exercise class led by experienced tutors from Pam's People. Free. No booking required. Age 16 plus.
​Walking group ​​Friday, 1.15pm meetup ​Fancy a breath of fresh air? Try our new social walking groups during November and December. Walks will be local and last approximately 1 hour. Meet at the library.
​Yoga Monday, 6 - 7pm​ ​Build strength and tone muscles, reduce body pain, stiffness and fatigue.
