The Strategic Plan;

Under Section 43 of the Care Act 2014, local authorities must establish a Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB). The SAB is a multi-agency partnership responsible for coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of adult safeguarding across the borough.

One of the SAB’s statutory duties is to:

  • “Develop and publish a strategic plan setting out how it will meet its objectives and what each member is to do to implement that strategy.”

This duty ensures that safeguarding is not only reactive but strategically planned, with clear priorities and shared accountability across agencies.
