How will we make sure we meet our tenants’ needs?
Our Housing Liaison Officers (HLOs) are talking to all our tenants to find out if they have any individual needs that might stop them getting help and support from Newham Housing Service. To find out more about tenancy audits visit the Housing Liaison Officers webpage.
This strategy sets out plans to ensure that relevant, personalised, up-to-date information will be available to housing staff who help tenants. This will make sure we understand any additional needs our tenants may have and will help keep them safe.
Once the actions in the strategy are in place, staff will know if the person they are talking to needs extra support, such as if they would like information translated into another language or have a physical disability and may take extra time to answer the door when we are visiting.
