How to buy Visitor parking permits
If you live in Newham, to allow visitors to park on the street in a Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) where you live during the restricted hours, you can register for and buy Visitor parking permits.
Each household can buy up to 240 resident Visitor permits within a 12 month period.
Visitor parking permits can be booked online to start immediately or up to 7 days in advance.
You MUST register for Visitor Permit Access first, BEFORE you can buy Visitor parking permits.

Visitor parking permits are charged based on the emissions of the vehicle.

How to buy Visitor parking permits
You will need:
- to be registered for Visitor Permit Access
- visitor's vehicle registration number (number plate). The vehicle must not exceed 2.3m in height and/or 5.3m in length. If larger, the permit will not be valid and will be subject to cancellation, the vehicle may also receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and could be towed.
- date and time of stay
- payment method (credit or debit card)
You can buy online using MiPermit
- Log in to your account on MiPermit Newham.
- Go to 'Pay and Activate Visitor permit'.
- Complete the form.
- Make payment.
Visitor parking permits cannot be cancelled or refunded if unused or booked with errors.
It is the vehicle's owner/ registered keeper's responsibility to ensure the correct date, time, and vehicle registration number are entered when buying the permit. Incorrectly applied permits cannot be refunded or replaced.

What happens next
Once your payment has been received, you will receive an email confirmation the same day.
Visitor parking permits are virtual, you do not need to display a permit on the vehicle.
Any vehicle breaching a parking or driving rule or parked without a valid permit, may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and possibly be towed.
If you need home visits from a carer or a number of carers, you can apply for a Carer parking permit.
