Book Resident free parking allocation

Each household with a Resident parking permit (which allows parking within the Residential Parking Zone where you live) can access 2 hours of free parking per month in any Residential Parking Zone within Newham.

This parking allocation can ONLY be used in permit holder, or shared use parking spaces.

The 2 hour monthly allowance can be used for either:

  • one single stay
    or
  • multiple short stays (in 15-minute slots).

Unused hours can not be rolled over to the next month.

Eligibility

  • You must hold a Resident parking permit.

How to access your free resident parking allocation:

You can book online using MiPermit.

  1. Log on to your online account on MiPermit Newham.
  2. Go to 'Buy Digital Permits' page and select 'Free Parking Allocation'.
  3. Select the parking option you wish to use from the drop-down menu.
  4. Go to "Manage My Permits" to activate your session immediately or schedule it for a future date.

You can also manage your free parking allocation using the MiPermit app.

What happens next

Once you have booked a parking session in MiPermit, this will be shown in the 'Manage My Permits' section of your account.

Email confirmations are not sent when booking free parking allocation.

Any vehicle breaching a parking or driving rule or parked without a valid permit, may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and possibly be towed.
