Newham Local Plan Examination

Hearing Sessions

The purpose of the hearings is for the Planning Inspectors to examine matters relating to the ‘soundness’ of the Plan in more detail.

Once the dates of the public examination hearing sessions are confirmed, they will be added to this page. A minimum of six weeks’ notice will be given before the start of the hearing sessions.

  • Anyone may come and observe but non-participants have no right to speak.
  • If you did not make comments on the (Regulation 19) Draft Submission Local Plan version of the plan, you do not have a legal right to take part in the examination.
  • If you made a written objection and do not wish to say anything at a hearing, your comment on the final draft plan will still be considered by the inspector. The inspector will also consider all comments made in support of the plan.
