Project Description:
This mural was developed through a series of inclusive drawing workshops with the young members of Beckton Globe Youth Zone. The sessions helped the young people showcase their talents and capture the ideas and activities that take place at the Globe.
The mural celebrates the importance of the building at the heart of the local community, with the Globe pictured as a microcosm animated by active figures, within a flowing landscape populated by motifs suggested in the workshops. It adds a much-needed splash of colour to the entrance of the building, sharing the young people’s hope for a better future.
