Delivering our policies

We have set out clear strategies to improve sustainable transport and the infrastructure to deliver it. We will be updating this section with more improvements we are making, as we begin to implement these strategies.  

We have published our Cycling Strategy (PDF), and to complement this, we have started the development of a Walking Strategy. These feed into a consolidated Sustainable Transport Strategy for Newham,- which will be published by 2021.This will ensure air quality initiatives are at the core of our new Transport Strategy for Newham which is to be developed by 2022.

The Local Implementation Plan (LIP) sets out how we propose to deliver the Mayor’s Transport Strategy (MTS) and will be available on our Local Implementation Plan page very soon.
