​Dominos ​​Saturday, 2.30-7pm​ ​Love a great game of dominos? Come and learn or improve your playing for free with Beckton Community Dominos. Open for those from 12 to over 60s.​
​English class: Life in the UK B1 and B2 ESOL classes ​Tuesday, 10am  - 12 midday ​​​English and citizenship classes for speakers of other languages aged 16 or over. You must complete an entry form before starting the course. Speak to library staff for more information.
​Fit Club ​Wednesday, 1-3pm ​Starts from 8 January 2020. Free. For adults. 
​Forever young ​Wednesday, 11am - 1pm​ ​Social club for people over 55. Enjoy music, gentle exercises and socialise over a cup of tea. Free.
​Get Connected Online Thursday, 1.30 - 2.30pm ​Local residents are required to bring their own tablets/devises and use the library WiFi to access 'the Learn my website'. Free drop in sessions.
​Knit and natter ​Monday, 11am - 12.30pm ​​​Craft group for men and women of all ages and abilities.
​​Inclusive yoga ​Thursday, 11am - 12.30pm ​Yoga in chairs or on floor mats to help your mental and physical wellbeing. Suitable and open to all including people with sensory or support needs. Mats and blocks provided, but wear comfortable stretchy clothing. Arrive early to discuss your needs with the tutor. Age from 16 – over 60’s
​Martial arts ​Thursday, 6 - 7pm ​​Martial arts for adults. Booking required, enquire in Beckton Globe. £5 per class.
​Pilates ​​Tuesday, 6.30pm ​​Low impact gentle stretching, balance exercises and good for core strength. No booking required but advised to bring your own mat. Open to all adults, everyone welcome to come and try a session. Free and upstairs in Beckton Globe library.
​Salsa dance exercise ​Monday, 3.15-4.45pm ​​Starts from 6 January 2020. Free. For over 55s.
​Salsa exercise class ​Thursday, 6 - 7.30pm ​​Boost your energy levels and fitness with this fun exercise class led by experienced tutors from Pam's People. Free. No booking required. Age 16 plus.
Tai Chi Exercise ​Friday, 10.30-11.30am ​​Starts from 10 January 2020. Free. For over 55s.
​Tai Chi Sword Exercise ​Wednesday, 10am-12pm ​Starts from 8 January 2020. Free. For over 55s.
​Yoga Monday, 6 - 7.30pm​ ​Build strength and tone muscles, reduce body pain, stiffness and fatigue.

Chess club Wednesday, 4.45 - 6.15pm (term time only) Chess pieces and sets available to all from 4.45pm to play games. Chess teacher. ​​Free club for all abilities.​
​Code club ​Saturday, 1.30pm (term time only) ​Free club for children aged 8-13 years old to learn how to code computers using fun learning activities. Registration required by parents in the first lesson.
​Lego club ​Friday, 4.15 - 5.15pm ​​All families welcome to come and build and create. Age 5 plus.
Martial arts Monday, 6.45 - 7.45pm

Social walks


Our popular social walks are now longer and held on a monthly basis. The next walk will be in the Shoreditch/Brick Lane mural art area on Friday 20 March 2020 at 10.15 am, meeting at Upton Park station, travelling to Aldgate East.  The walk will finish at 12.30pm. 

Saturday social walks


The saturday walking group meets at Beckton Globe Library and goes for a local walk. All ages are welcome and children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Meet inside the library at 10.45am, return at 12.45pm for light refreshments and a chat until 1.00pm.
