Loneliness Awareness Week 2025
From 9th to 15th June, Newham is coming together for Loneliness Awareness Week - a time to strengthen connections, build community and support those feeling isolated.
This year's theme, "Meeting Loneliness Together," encourages simple yet meaningful interactions that can make a lasting impact. Whether it’s greeting a neighbour, joining a local coffee morning, or participating in engaging workshops, every small act contributes to a larger change.
Be Connected – How You Can Get Involved
We’ve highlighted a range of inspiring activities across the borough to help bring people together. Your involvement can turn everyday moments into lifelines for those who need them most.
- Attend an event – Check out our highlighted events or pop to your local library or community garden to find out what’s on
- Start a conversation – A simple hello or a kind word can go a long way.
- Support the movement – Share your experiences and spread awareness online and in your community.
Let’s work together to make Newham a more connected and supportive place for everyone. Every interaction counts - Be Connected!
