Jobs for local people
As part of our Community Wealth Building strategy and inclusive economy approach, we’re supporting residents into quality high-skilled jobs through an exemplary skills, training and adult education offer which is shaped by employers as well. We want more of our residents to progress within their careers through training and are committed to supporting all young people in Newham to access good quality employment as well.
We have an employment charter, and we expect all developers and contractors to sign up to it to give jobs to local people and find their staff through Workplace (external), our scheme to help Newham residents get into work.
