eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks

Enjoy listening to audiobooks or reading books and magazines on your tablet? You can borrow up to five audiobooks and eBooks at one time, for free, if you a have a Newham library card.​​​

Bolinda Borrowbox: eAudiobooks

Clever and simple to use. World's best authors and titles. Local library members can browse and borrow bestselling eAudiobooks on any Apple iOS, google and Android device for limited periods through digital loans. The borrowBox mobile app allows book lovers to live lives rich with stories, knowledge and ideas.


RB digital: eAudiobooks

Newham have joined with other London Library Consortium partners to provide the Oneclick eAudio service.
  • Visit RB digital website and register, then Log-in using your RB Digital Username and Password
  • Install the free supported software
  • When you find a title you're interested in, add it to the Basket and check it out.
  • Once you have checked out a title, a download page is displayed. Click the 'Download' link to start the download.
  • Downloads are available for 7 days or 21 days depending on the format.
  • You will never accrue late fees with titles you download from the eLibrary.

Overdrive: eBooks and eAudiobooks

  • Go to the Overdrive e-library
  • Choose the eBook or audiobook you want to borrow
  • Select Newham from the drop down list of libraries
  • Enter your library card number and PIN (if you don’t know your PIN, ask at any Newham library)


If you have chosen an eBook, you can either read it straight away in your browser or download it to your PC or Apple Mac.


If you have chosen an eAudiobook, you will need to download it to your PC or Apple Mac.
Downloading your book means you will be able to transfer it to your smartphone or tablet and enjoy at a time that suits you.
