eBooks, eMagazines and audiobooks

Enjoy listening to audiobooks or reading books and magazines on your tablet? You can borrow up to five audiobooks and eBooks at one time, for free, if you a have a Newham library card.

How to borrow eBooks, eMagazines and audiobooks

  • Go to the Overdrive e-library
  • Choose the eBook or audiobook you want to borrow
  • Select Newham from the drop down list of libraries
  • Enter your library card number and PIN (if you don’t know your PIN, ask at any Newham library)


If you have chosen an eBook, you can either read it straight away in your browser or download it to your PC or Apple Mac.


If you have chosen an audiobook, you will need to download it to your PC or Apple Mac.
Downloading your book means you will be able to transfer it to your smartphone or tablet and enjoy at a time that suits you.
