NEWday Project advice centre is a warm place of welcome, meeting basic needs for food, showers and laundry for those working with us. It offers tailored support to overcome barriers and support a move away from homelessness.
This may include support with a c/o address, finances, (opening and managing a bank account/money management), accessing eligible benefits, supporting with job search/employment, training to get online and using computers, taking care of health and wellbeing, referrals to emergency shelters and hostels, advice on private rented options, referrals to London Borough of Newham – Homeless Prevention and Advice Service, signposting to other specialists.

Bridges provide regular NHS nurse clinics and signposting to other support agencies. More facilities available on Mondays. Practical activities to build esteem and encourage hope. Small group work developing life skills and confidence. Bathroom/showers, benefits advice, clothing store, food (free), medical/health, outreach worker links. Plus held on the closest Saturday to Christmas from 8 till 3, breakfast, Christmas dinner and events to celebrate.

All applications for food must be accompanied by a referral from an independent agent (e.g. a doctor, a social worker or support worker, a school or nursery, a Job Centre). Advocacy, Bathroom/showers, food (free).
