Apply for a Resident parking permit

Where you can park with a Resident parking permit

Resident parking permits are virtual, you do not need to display a permit on the vehicle.

A Resident parking permit is only valid within permit holder only bays, and shared use bays in the Resident Parking Zone (RPZ) where you live.
Find more information about Residential Parking Zones (RPZ).

Check the road signs to ensure the vehicle is parked in the correct location. RPZ restricted hours are displayed on the entry signs at the start of a zone.

Any vehicle breaching a parking or driving rule or parked without a valid permit, may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and possibly be towed.

If you live in a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN)

A Resident parking permit does NOT allow you to pass through a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) restriction. A restriction is marked by planted bollards and signs displaying restricted road access. Driving through a restricted street may incur a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

If you live on a Healthy School Street (HSS)

If your Resident parking permit is registered to your address within the Healthy School Street (HSS) zone, you can access that road during prohibited hours.

You do not need to do anything. Your vehicle will automatically have access granted through the permit.

Access is only valid for the Healthy School Street on which you live.

If you live nearby Browning Road Bridge

Resident permit holders who live at addresses in the approved list, will automatically be granted access drive over Browning Road Bridge in the southbound direction only.

Check if your address is in the approved list
