Barking Road and Greengate Street proposed junction improvements consultation

Newham Council is proposing some improvements to the road layout at the Barking Road / Greengate Street junction.
This is a key junction and we want to improve how it functions to make it safer for pedestrians, and to make it easier for vehicles, especially buses, to use so that traffic flows better and drivers do not feel the need to make dangerous manoeuvres to get to where they
want to.

We want to improve bus journey times and reliability for all bus routes, to make journeys by public transport more pleasant, and to encourage more people to use the bus instead of private vehicles.

We would like to find out your views on our proposals so that we can finalise our plans and respond to any local issues raised. Subject to the outcome of this consultation exercise, the scheme will proceed to the next stage of statutory processes and approvals.
Please share your views by completing the questionnaire. You can return this to us by Friday 22 February 2019.
