Connaught Bridge Closure from Monday 1 October for 3 week The Connaught Bridge by London City Airport has closed to vehicle traffic from today for the next three weeks. This is to allow maintenance work to the bridge. The pedestrian walkway beneath the road bridge remains open. While refurbishment work goes on traffic is being diverted via Gallions Roundabout, Woolwich Manor Way, Albert Road, and Connaught Road. Please allow extra time for any journeys in the area.

Freemasons Road Area - Liveable Neighbourhoods funding bid

Newham Council is submitting a funding bid to Transport for London (TfL) in November to deliver a Liveable Neighbourhoods scheme along Freemasons Road.
Transport fof London’s Liveable Neighbourhoods programme gives boroughs the chance to bid for funding between £1m and £10m for projects that encourage walking, cycling and the use of public transport. The project should deliver attractive and healthy neighbourhoods for residents and businesses in the area whilst improving air quality.

At this early stage of development, we want to find out what kind of improvements are important to you and include them in our bid.

We will design a scheme that focuses on what local residents and businesses think we should prioritise and then submit for funding in November.

If you want to have you say tell us by Wednesday 10 October 2018.
